Iscar HELITURN LD Inserts with High Helical Cutting Edge for High Metal Removal Rates. The HELITURN LD inserts WNMX ...-HTW and CNMX ...-HTW are produced from the most advanced SUMO TEC grades. These inserts are designed with very positive radial helical cutting edges and positive rake angles ? a combination which substantially reduces the cutting forces and facilitates higher productivity.

The CNMX and WNMX insert corners are equipped with a wiper configuration which produces high surface finish, even at high feeds.

In many cases the surface finish is sufficient for eliminating a finishing cut.
HELITURN LD inserts were designed for heavy machining applications. Their unique design ensures reliable, Fast Metal Removal.

ISCAR has recently added the HMW chipformer for machining stainless steel, high temperture alloys and soft, low carbon steel.

Grade Description: IC8150 A very hard substrate with a cobalt enriched layer, improved MTCVD TiCN and a thick alpha AI2O3 CVD coating. Features excellent thermal stability, resistance to chipping and plastic deformation. Recommended for high speed machining of steel at stable or slightly unstable conditions.
