The planes feature tungsten vanadium cutter blade, accurately machined blade setting, full adjustments, selected hardwood handle and knob, cast iron base frog and lever cap. With machined cast fine grained iron bodies, and traditional brass adjusting nut.

No. 4 Smoothing Plane

Used for smoothing and final finishing. Featuring a robust level cap designed to lock down on three points for secure location of the cutting iron. Razor sharp tungsten vanadium steel cutting iron to cut even the hardest of woods and is precision machined to lay flat on the frog face and eliminate chatter. Impact resistant ABS resin handle and knob for comfort and control. Traditional adjusting nut for fine seating. The cast iron fine grained body and frog are CNC machined to 0.04mm accuracy with a precision machine-filed mouth. Length: 245mm, Blade width: 50mm
