For use where parts are frequently reset. This style of point causes the least amount of damage to the component it locks on to. Can be used against hardened shafts, preferably with a ground flat for improved surface contact. Ideal for use as an adjusting screw and in thin wall thicknesses and on soft plugs.

Interrupted profile of clamping face resists loosening due to vibration. Sizes above 1/4? are generally counterbored to provide maximum clamping efficiency.

Steel, Low Profile Head, Splined Body

The splines on the body bite into the parent material on installation, creating an improved torque resistance compared with standard round bodied rivet nuts. The Low Profile Head creates a high load bearing feature but only results in minimal stand off between the adjoining panels.
