Avon™ Pipe Repair Tape

A high quality, high specification self-amalgamating self-fusing tape. A very useful derivative of insulating tape which can be used for waterproofing connections. To use, the top protective layer is peeled off and the rubbery self-amalgamating tape underneath is wrapped tightly around the connection to be waterproofed. Eventually, the layers of this tape will merge together and create a permanent waterproof seal. This tape is highly recommended for automotive work and also aerial installations, particularly those for satellite TV where cables enter the LNB and polariser. Can also be used for fast, temporary repairs to hoses and water pipes. Completely water and UV resistant. Used to joint and repair a wide range of power and distribution cables up to 46kV. Used for making watertight seals when jointing cables, both above and below ground. Good physical and electrical properties. Excellent self-amalgamation, heat and ageing characteristics.
