Pan Fibre Gland Packing

Composite construction of PAN fibres combined with pure carbon fibres. Self-lubricating with superior packing properties - enhanced by graphite impregnation and high temperature lubricants, practically eliminates shaft scoring. Conformable packing, with a square, inter-braid, lattice construction, which improves sealing with less gland pressure.
Applications: Suitable for most plant applications and able to replace and outperform traditional graphited asbestos, glass fibre and natural fibre packing.
Suitable for use against oils, water,
steam, solvents and general chemicals.

Type VG2

Grafan Fibre Gland Packing - Wire Reinforced

Braided packing, constructed from 100% Grafan yarns, to give truly exceptional capabilities and performance, additionally reinforced with Inconel Wire to create the ideal packing for high temperature, high pressure values. VR31 can be merely cut to length and spiralled into the gland. There is no need for individual cut rings.
Pressure rating: 360bar.
Rotary speed: 1m/s.
Temperature: -200°C +3000°C (Inert ATM), -200°C +600°C (In Air).
pH range: 0 - 14.
Roll length: 8m.
Never use the product when maximum temperature and pressure are combined.

Type VR31 - Wire Reinforced

Pan Fibre Gland Packing

VT2 is braded from pure Poly Acrylic Nitrile (PAN) impregnated with PTFE, further treated with special lubricants. Gives enhanced performance without shaft wear problems or high costs of traditional synthetic fibre packing. Extended life even at high shaft speeds and pressures within a wide pH and temperature range.
Applications: Pumps, valves, mixers, reactor vessels and reciprocating applications. Resistant to general chemicals, solvents, oils, water and steam. For use in arduous conditions in process applications where alternative packing causes excessive wear or require frequent maintenance and replacement. Does not contaminate or stain - suitable for use in the food, water and paper industries.

Type VT2

Vulcan Packing Extractors

Vulcan gland packing extractors are ideal for the removal of old, worn and hardened packing.

The extractors have hardened and tempered steel screws, designed to give maximum penetration into gland material and flexible shafts for removal of packing of any size, even in difficult positions.

Available in two types:
Type TRACC have an integral fixed corkscrew tip.
Type TRACR have replaceable tips for extended life.
