Standard Series Torque Multiplier

The 'Standard series' torque multiplier has been designed for the specialist user where it is necessary to provide higher torque than would otherwise be possible due to limitations on space or operator strength. This series employs multiple stage epicyclic gearing to give a wide range of torque outputs and ratios to suit most applications. The torque multiplication is accurate to more than plus/minus 4% with a maximum output of 47,500Nm. *Models contain the AWUR 'anti wind up ratchet' mechanism. As with any high ratio gearbox (25:1 or more) a certain amount of wind-up (spring) has to be taken up before any useful tightening work can be applied to the nut. Each time the input device is released, the wind-up will rotate back against the direction of operation.The AWUR mechanism retains all of the wind up forces as they are created locking the multiplier onto the nut being tightened. This means that even when used upside down the multiplier will support it's own weight.

72 tooth fine ratchet mechanism which allows use in confined areas. Incorporating "click" sound and "snap" feel to indicate when torque setting has been reached. Knurled disc on the ratchet head to reverse ratchet direction. Clear plastic handle protects the scale from accidental damage. Torque setting can be altered by rotating the adjustment lever at the base of the wrench. Pre-set "P" type versions available to eliminate the torque setting being altered on the production line. Fixed head version has push square drive for instant direction reversal. All with ratchet except 11125 which is non-ratchet.

Extension handle can be used to reduce operator effort (extension handle supplied as standard with models 800, 1000 and 1500). Fine 60 tooth ratchet allows the wrench to be used in confined areas. Accuracy of +/-3%. *Weight does not include extension handle. Extension handle specification, Length: 700mm, Weight: 1.6kg.
