In general grinding operations, it permits a high surface finish to be achieved while ensuring long wheel life. It has good anti-corrosion properties in soft and hard waters and is compatible with all metals.

It is suitable for severe grinding, form grinding and gear grinding. It is suitable for all ferrous and non-ferrous metal machining but is particular suitable for boring operations in general deep hole drilling, boring and trepanning where pressurised coolant systems are used to clear swarf quickly.

A biodegradable cutting fluid and has been formulated using specially selected advanced biodegradable esters. Hysol MB50 Soluble Cutting Oil

Excellent bio-stability reduces biocide usage. Multi-purpose capability - suitable for use on ferrous and non-ferrous materials (not cast iron). Environmentally conscious - Boron, Sulphur and Chlorine free. Hard and soft water capability - low foam and good emulsion stability in all water conditions.

Castrol Metal Cutting Lubricants

A non-phenolic, general purpose soluble cutting fluid for use in a wide range of machining operations with a variety of materials. Particularly suitable for use with steel and cast iron components. (Not recommended for use with copper alloys Cooledge CB is suggested for this purpose). Castrol Cooledge BI has proven itself as a water extendable fluid for use in processes such as the drawing of white goods panels and forming of welded steel tube.

Additional Information
For maximum service life, coolant systems should be cleaned and sterilised by treatment with Castrol System Cleaner before changing to Cooledge BI. Treatment entails the addition of approximately 1% System Cleaner to the previous charge of coolant the day before it is due to be discarded.

A nitrite and phenol-free synthetic grinding and general-purpose metalworking fluid, which has been specially formulated for use with hard water. This hard water stability prevents the de-stabilising effects of the build-up of salts. Offers excellent resistance to all types of corrosion including electrolytic corrosion caused by iron/copper or iron/aluminium combinations. A long life coolant formulated to control the growth of bacteria and fungi. It is equally suited to both central and individual systems, providing rapid swarf settling properties, and complete acceptability and safety in use. Particularly suited to those areas with hard water (typically over 200ppm calcium hardness) and can be used for a wide range of operations including grinding, milling, drilling and turning.

A clear, pale yellow straight cutting fluid manufactured from solvent refined mineral oil and blended with fatty oil and chlorinated additives. Ensures good tool life and cutting performance.
