A fully synthetic soluble cutting fluid, intended for grinding ferrous metals. Has excellent health and safety characteristics, containing no mineral oil, phenols or sodium nitrite. Combines outstanding grinding characteristics with good operator acceptability and wide application in general machining. In general grinding operations, it permits a high surface finish to be achieved while ensuring long wheel life. It has good anti-corrosion properties in soft and hard waters and is compatible with all metals.

Castrol Hysol XF incorporates advanced additive technology to prevent fungal and bacterial infections ensuring exceptional sump life. Castrol CareCut ES2 is formulated using advanced biodegradable ester based technology it can be used with all types of grinding media, but is especially effective with CBN grinding. It is suitable for severe grinding, form grinding and gear grinding. It is suitable for all ferrous and non-ferrous metal machining but is particular suitable for boring operations in general deep hole drilling, boring and trepanning where pressurised coolant systems are used to clear swarf quickly.

Multi-purpose machining applications: milling, drilling, tapping, grinding, etc. Multi-metal machining applications: ferrous and non-ferrous metals, aluminium, stainless steel, etc. Excellent tool life. Biostable properties which provide resistance to bacterial and fungal growth. Stable in hard and soft water. Chlorine free.

Castrol Metal Cutting Lubricants

A non-phenolic, general purpose soluble cutting fluid for use in a wide range of machining operations with a variety of materials. Particularly suitable for use with steel and cast iron components. (Not recommended for use with copper alloys Cooledge CB is suggested for this purpose). Castrol Cooledge BI has proven itself as a water extendable fluid for use in processes such as the drawing of white goods panels and forming of welded steel tube.

For maximum service life, coolant systems should be cleaned and sterilised by treatment with Castrol System Cleaner before changing to Cooledge BI. Treatment entails the addition of approximately 1% System Cleaner to the previous charge of coolant the day before it is due to be discarded.

High performance neat cutting oil providing excellent tool life and surface finish. For multiple machining applications: milling, drilling, thread grinding, broaching, gear hobbing, etc. Multi-metal applications: ferrous and non-ferrous metals. Non-staining on non-ferrous metals. A clear, pale yellow straight cutting fluid manufactured from solvent refined mineral oil and blended with fatty oil and chlorinated additives. Ensures good tool life and cutting performance. A wide range of duties may be performed using this oil, for apart from its application to automatic and multi-tool lathes handling the higher tensile steels, Ilocut 486 is suitable for such specialised operations as production thread grinding, broaching and multi-cutter milling set-ups.
