Tagout is the placement of a tag, which indicates that the energy-isolating device and the equipment being controlled MUST NOT be operated until the tag has been removed. Used to indicate who is responsible for placing a Lockout device and who is authorised to remove it or make changes to it. The tags are manufactured from flexible polyester, resistant to water, oil and extreme temperatures. Their matt surface allows you to write on them easily with a ball point or felt-tip pen. Standard Gate Valve Lockout

These gate valves are comprised of two flattened half moons with a hollow centre. Hinged at one side, they are placed over the valve and then closed, leaving the valve inside the lockout. This can then be locked off using up to three padlocks directly, or more if used in conjunction with a hasp. A simple solution for isolating gate valves, these lockouts slip over the top of the handle once the valve is in the appropriate position. When fitted the valve handwheel is completely encapsulated within the lockout, which will rotate freely around the valve preventing operation. Resistant to cracking and abrasion. Three padlock holes. Di-electric properties. Rotate freely around valve covers. Resistant to extreme temperatures. Suitable for hasps and padlocks.
