TAG Insert Features
* Very rigid clamping in a tangentially oriented pocket.
* Enables machining at very high feed rates and provides excellent straightness and surface finish.

The TAG inserts are available with the familiar J- and C-Type chipformers, with neutral and angular frontal cutting edges. The new tools are equipped with a user-friendly clamping and extraction device. The TANG-GRIP family includes square shank tools, blades and inserts in 1.4 - 9.5mm widths in the most advanced IC830 and IC808 SUMO TEC grades. The blades are in standard siuzes which fit ISCAR's standard blocks.

(P20-P50/M20-M40/K15-K40/ S15-S40) PVD TiAlN coated tough grade followed by a special SUMO TEC surface treatment. Suitable for milling stainless steel, high temperature alloys and other alloy steels. Recommended for interrupted cut and heavy operations.

Grade Description: KC850 grade is equivalent to the following grades M25-M45, P25-P45. A tri-phase coating on an extra strong, cobalt-enriched substrate makes this Kennametal CNMG insert suitable for general purpose machining of many work piece materials. With the advent of higher machine tool spindle speeds, today it finds its best application in heavy cutting of low, medium, and high carbon steels, as well as medium hardness alloy and tool steels. Excellent thermal and mechanical shock resistance makes grade KC850 ideally suited for difficult applications with interruptions.
