ISCAR?s new Single-Ended Insert for Parting With an Improved Clamping Method

TAG Insert Features
* Very rigid clamping in a tangentially oriented pocket.

The TAG inserts are available with the familiar J- and C-Type chipformers, with neutral and angular frontal cutting edges. The new tools are equipped with a user-friendly clamping and extraction device. The TANG-GRIP family includes square shank tools, blades and inserts in 1.4 - 9.5mm widths in the most advanced IC830 and IC808 SUMO TEC grades. The blades are in standard siuzes which fit ISCAR?s standard blocks.

TAG N-C Parting & Grooving Inserts

First choice for the parting of bars, hard materials and tough applications. A positive rake, single cavity with negative land and shoulders, provides extra cutting-edge strength, medium-to-high feeds.

IC808 Grade description:
(P15-P30/M20-M30/K20-K40/ S15-S25/N15-N25/H20-H30) SUMO TEC TiAlN PVD coated. A tough submicron substrate. For machining heat resistant alloys, austenitic stainless steel, hard alloys and carbon steel at medium to high cutting speeds. Excellent notch wear and built-up edge resistance.

A TiCN/Al2O3/TIN multi-layer, CVD coated grade. Especially recommended for grooving and turning forged, low carbon and low-alloyed steel parts. Copes efficiently with machining stainless steel at finishing and medium conditions.
