Protective Coverall 4565

The 3M® 4565 Protective Coveralls use a unique blend of fabrics, designed to not only reduce the weight of the coverall, enhance the softness and drape over the body, but significantly improve the chemical permeation performance. They are made with taped seams for increased protection against fine particles and liquid chemical sprays. They have been tested to EN 14126 for biological protection against infective agents (see datasheet for class details). The 3M® 4565 Protective Coveralls also come with a new 3-piece hood for improved manoeuvrability with 3M full-face piece respirators and goggles and benefit from additional comfort and convenience features including knitted cuffs and a two-way zip with a resealable storm-flap.

Fit Test Kits

The revision of COSHH Regulations COSHH:2002, requires employers to conduct a fit-test on any employee wearing a tight fitting face pieces. Tight fitting face pieces include disposables, half masks and full face masks. The largest contributor to reduced respiratory protection is poor fit. Fit testing is an important requirement in the process of determining whether a given respirator is the correct respirator for a particular worker. Fit-testing helps determine that a particular model and size of respirator fits a worker so there is minimal face seal leakage. There are 2 fit testing methods: qualitative and quantitative. Generally, qualitative fit testing is acceptable for most disposables and half masks, although quantitative fit testing is required when negative pressure full face piece masks are used.
