Medikit Sterile Unmedicated Dressings

These dressings are used in the majority of First Aid Kits for immediate use in the event of an incident. High quality absorbent dressings are available in a wide choice of sizes. The highly absorbent compressed pad is enclosed on all sides reducing the risk of fibrous particles contaminating a wound. It is sewn onto an Easifix bandage with high stretch properties providing good conformability.

Why should you have a defibrillator?

Immediate defibrillation can be the difference between a life lost and a life saved. Around 30,000 people have a cardiac arrest each year outside the confines of a hospital. The chance of survival after the heart stops falls by around 10% for every minute that passes without defibrillation. They are wall mountable and are supplied with optional hanging bracket enabling the kits to be positioned at fixed first aid points but also easily released from the wall bracket to enable it to be carried to the injured person.

All establishments will need at least one first aid box. Large factories/offices will need first aid kits in every self contained working area and it is recommended that companies with more than 50 employees should consider the provision of more than one kit.

Remember that first aid should always be nearby and it is advisable to have one First Aid Kit of the appropriate size for each enclosed area.
