Spherical Roller Bearings

Spherical roller bearings are double row units comprising solid outer rings with a concave raceway, solid inner rings and barrel rollers with cages. We stock both the plain (symmetrical) bore (EAW33) and taper bore (EAKW33).
The symmetrical barrel rollers orientate themselves freely on the concave outer raceway. As a result, shaft flexing and misalignment of the bearing seats are compensated.

Taper Roller Bearings

Tapered roller bearings are comprised of solid inner and outer rings with raceways, taper rollers and cages manufactured from pressed steel. The bearings are not self-retaining. As a result, the inner ring with the rollers can be fitted separately from the outer ring. Tapered roller bearings are not sealed and not supplied grease filled.

Deep Groove Ball Bearings - C3 Clearance

C3 bearings have an additional internal radial clearance to cope with high speed environments where excess heat is generated.

Open type:

Without seals to allow for the free circulation of either oil or grease.

C3 bearings have an additional internal radial clearance to cope with high speed environments where excess heat is generated.

Shielded type:

With metal shields inserted into the outer raceway, these fit in closely to the inner race providing moderate protection against mechanical damage, and against the ingress of moisture, dust and other foreign objects. The shields also retain the pre-filled grease in the bearing. Shields can be easily removed for applications that only require one shield.

Housed Bearing Units

Housed Bearing Units are one of the most effective and easiest solution to accomodate misalignment. Units below consist of housing and insert. A wide range is available including Imperial sizes. Please ask for further information.

Cast iron self lube unit plummer blocks. Medium series.
With two slotted holes for fixing.

Self-Aligning Ball Bearings

2200 & 2300 Series self-aligning ball bearings are double row with a concave raceway to allow approximately 4° of misalignment. They have a tapered bore for use with adaptor sleeves. There are also a range of sealed versions available.

Cylinder Bore

Lock Nuts

Used primarily to help lock and locate bearings on shafts or adaptor sleeves. They have evenly spaced slots on the circumference for use with the SNR range of hook spanners.
