Oxford Precision™ Dial Indicating Bore Gauges

Suitable for rapid, accurate measurement of size, concentricity, wear, taper, etc., in a wide range of bores. For workshop and inspection use. All models have one fixed and one moving anvil and a self-adjusting centre shoe. A datum point' can be set by using a setting ring of a known diameter or a micrometer. Zero' the gauge to this datum point by rotating the bezel to align zero' with the indicator. To check a bore is within tolerance, the limit hands can be fixed as required. All anvils are spring loaded to expand into the bore. For accurate reading ensure the stem of the gauge is parallel to the axis of the bore. This can be checked by 'rocking' the gauge back and forth until the smallest diameter is found. All models have interchangeable anvils to cover a range of bore sizes.

Digital readout and measuring head together are about the same size and format as a ballpoint pen which represents a big advantage for those needing to measure small precision parts and who need to have their gauge with them all the time. The clear LCD display is easily set using only two buttons and results are shown with switchable 0.01/0.001/0.0005 mm resolution. Data transfer is via Proximity-RS232 or Proximity-USB output. The measuring heads are equipped with spherical hard-chromed contact points and are set in appropriate setting rings. Like all Bowers bore gauging products the MicroGauge system is available as individual instruments or as full sets. All setting rings are supplied as standard with UKAS certification.
