Vodex 6013

Aluminium Tig/Gas Welding Rods

Saffire aluminium 5% silicon & magnesium. BS 2901:Part 4 : 1990 4043A (Tig Rods). BS 1453:1972(1987) 4043A (Gas Rods) AWS A/SFA 5-10-88:ER 4043.



Suitable for welding a wide range of cast and wrought aluminium alloys containing up to 5% magnesium. Particularly suited to Tig welding (with argon shielding gas). Use with aluminium flux for oxy-acetylene welding.

Gas & Tig Welding Rods

General purpose steel rod for high grade oxy-acetylene welding of mild steel and wrought iron. Widely used for automobile, heating and ventilation. No flux required. Melts at 1490C.

Nicrex E312 Stainless Steel Electrodes

Nicrex E312 electrodes from Murex are highly alloyed stainless steel electrodes of unusual versatility. It deposits a ferritic/austenitic duplex weld metal with about 40% ferrite content.
Applications: the welding of dissimilar steel combinations such as mild or low alloy steel to stainless steel, and the welding of spring steels, nickel steels and other hardenable steels.

Murex LW1 MIG Wire Reels

Precision layer wound for snag free production. Gas shielded, deposits C - 1.3% Mn weld metal for mild and medium tensile steels. Copper coated, double deoxidised with manganese and silicon with good mechanical properties. For use with CO2 and AR-CO2. For welding mild steel and C-Mn steels. Available in 0.8mm (15kg drum), 1.0mm and 1.2mm (18kg drums). Made to BS 2901/1 : 1983 A18 & BS EN 440 G3 Si1.

Murex Tungsten Electrodes

Murex Tungsten Electrodes are available in three types: Thoriated (1.6mm), Ceriated (1.6 and 2.4mm) or Zirconiated (1.6mm, 2.4mm and 3.2mm). Packs of 10.

2% Thoriated, Colour Coded Red

Designed for DC (Neg) or straight polarity use. Maintain a sharp tip configuration during welding. Suitable for use with steels, nickel alloys and most alloys other than aluminium and magnesium. Not for AC welding.
