Kennedy Cold Chisels

Kennedy cold chisels are manufactured from high quality, high strength octagonal section chrome vanadium steel with ground cutting edges. They are are used to channel brickwork, concrete, chip stone and to remove waste metal when a very smooth finish is not required or when the work cannot be done easily with other tools, such as a hacksaw, file, bench shears or power tools. The head of each chisel is chamfered to slow down the formation of the mushroom shape caused by hammering. Conform to: BS3066.

Diamond Point

Used for squaring out corners in keyways and cutting V shaped grooves in steel.
Cutting angle should be 40 - 50 to the vertical.

Half Round/ Bullnose Chisels

Used for cutting round bottomed grooves in steel such as oil grooves and also for 'roughing up' surfaces to be chipped by a flat chisel. The job is made easier by cutting grooves across the surface with this type of chisel then the raised portion can be easily chipped away with a flat blade.
Cutting angle 40 - 50 degrees to the vertical.

Electric Pencil

Used to etch metal for easy identification. Six settings allow use on softer metals without damaging the workpiece. Needles are made from a special heat resisting tungsten alloy to retain sharpness and avoid welding to the workpiece. Settings: Alter the position of the contact plugs on the transformer to change the depth of the etching.
