Spherical Roller Bearings

Spherical roller bearings are double row units comprising solid outer rings with a concave raceway, solid inner rings and barrel rollers with cages. We stock both the plain (symmetrical) bore (EAW33) and taper bore (EAKW33).
The symmetrical barrel rollers orientate themselves freely on the concave outer raceway. As a result, shaft flexing and misalignment of the bearing seats are compensated.

SNR Bearings

SNR double-row ball bearings have become the natural substitute for single-row ball bearings for higher radial load applications, or for axial loads in both directions. Suitable for mean rotating speeds, these bearings only admit very slight misalignment between shaft and housing, to the order of 0.06.
Standard synthetic material cage.

Taper Roller Bearings

Tapered roller bearings are comprised of solid inner and outer rings with raceways, taper rollers and cages manufactured from pressed steel. The bearings are not self-retaining. As a result, the inner ring with the rollers can be fitted separately from the outer ring. Tapered roller bearings are not sealed and not supplied grease filled.

Rubber sealed type:

With rubber seals inserted into the outer raceway and in contact with the inner race providing protection against the ingress of moisture, dust and other foreign objects. The seals also retain the pre-filled grease in the bearing. Seals can be easily removed for applications that only require one seal.

Self Aligning Bearings

With double ball rows and a spherical raceway in the outer ring, self-aligning ball bearings can compensate for installation errors or shaft misalignment. Useful for applications requiring high rotating speeds while exercising moderate radial, and moderate or low axial loading. Available in cylindrical bore or taper bore (K suffix). Clearance is standardised (ISO 5753). The values are different for cylindrical bore and tapered bore bearings (suffix K). The latter have a significantly larger clearance to allow the reduction in clearance resulting from the adapter sleeves interference fit.
