SWP Drying Ovens

SWP drying ovens - the efficiency of welding electrodes can be seriously impaired if the electrode coating is exposed to a damp environment. Dampness can cause water to be generated in the arc shield, which could adversely effect the running quality of the electrode by promoting excessive spatter and ultimately the quality of the weld by creating porosity and piping. SWP offer you a range of drying ovens to suit many locations and needs.

1122 Dual Voltage 110/240V Portable Drying Oven (100C-300C)

The portable drying oven is designed to operate in rugged site conditions, thermostatically controlled over a temperature range of 100 - 300C.
Voltage: 110/240V (dual).
Load: 300W.
Dimensions (W x D x H):
Internal: 115 x 480 x 115mm.
External: 175 x 610 x 210mm.

1.6mm 2% THORIATED RED TUNGSTEN ELECTRODE

1.6mm 2% THORIATED RED TUNGSTEN ELECTRODE

编号:KEN8890520K
●产品描述:
2% Thoriated Red Tungsten Electrodes

Most commonly used tungsten electrode. Suitable for both AC and DC welding on carbon, stainless steels, nickel, copper and titanium alloys. Preferred for their longevity and ease of use.

Kennedy 1.6mm 2% Thoriated Red Tungsten Electrodes

2% thoriated tungsten electrodes (AWS classification EWTh-2) contain a minimum of 97.30% tungsten and 1.70 to 2.20% thorium. They are the most commonly used electrodes today and are preferred for their longevity and ease of use. Thorium increases the electron emission qualities of the electrode, which improves arc starts and allows for a higher current carrying capacity. This electrode operates far below its melting temperature, which results in a considerably lower rate of consumption and eliminates arc wandering for greater stability. It also features a lower level of weld contamination than other electrodes. Unlike pure tungsten, these electrodes are only for specialty type AC welding (thin gauge aluminum or materials less than .060-in.), but they are exceptional for DC electrode negative or straight polarity on carbon and stainless steel, nickel and titanium applications.
During manufacturing, thorium is evenly dispersed throughout the electrode. This evenness allows the electrode to maintain a sharpened edge, the ideal electrode shape for welding thin steel. Sharpening the electrode point, however, should be done with great care. Thorium is radioactive; therefore, you must always follow manufactures warnings, instructions and the MSDS (Material Safety Data Sheet) for its use.

1.6mm ZIRCONIATED WHITE TUNGSTEN ELECTRODE

1.6mm ZIRCONIATED WHITE TUNGSTEN ELECTRODE

编号:KEN8890820K
●产品描述:
0.8% Zirconiated White Tungsten Electrodes

Ideal for high precision, exceptional quality AC welding on aluminium alloys as it retains a balled tip and has a high resistance to contamination. The current carrying capability is equal or greater than that of thoriated tungsten. Non-radioactive. Not suitable for DC welding.

Kennedy 1.6mm 0.8% Zirconiated White Tungsten Electrodes

Zirconiated tungsten electrodes (AWS classification EWZr-1) contain a minimum of 99.10% tungsten and .15 to .40% zirconium. A zirconium oxide (zirconia) alloyed tungsten electrode is
preferred for AC welding when the highest quality work is necessary and where even the smallest amounts of weld pool contamination cannot be tolerated. This is accomplished because the zirconium alloyed tungsten produces an extremely stable arc which resists tungsten spitting in the arc. The current carrying capability is equal to or slightly greater than an equal sized cerium, lanthana or thorium alloyed
electrode. Zirconium electrodes are typically used only for
AC welding with a balled end. Not to be used for DC welding.
