Kennedy® Abrasive Wheel Dressers
Conventional abrasive wheels need truing and regularly dressing to maintain a quality grinding performance, Kennedy single point diamond dressing tools have a single industrial diamond embedded in a cylindrical steel shaft they are suitable for performing both of these applications:
Truing is the process of aligning the periphery of the grinding wheel so that it runs concentric with its axis of rotation. This allows accurate and precise relative motion between the grinding wheel and the part being ground.
Dressing removes dulled abrasive and foreign material that has been embedded into the wheel. This allows the wheel to cut properly. Kennedy diamond dressing tools are mainly used to true straight-faced grinding wheels.
