A TiCN/Al2O3/TIN multilayer, CVD coated grade. Used for finishing and medium machining of carbon and alloy steel and cast iron at high cutting speeds. High wear resistant and excellent repeatability.

Iscar HELITURN LD Inserts with High Helical Cutting Edge for High Metal Removal Rates. The HELITURN LD inserts WNMX ...-HTW and CNMX ...-HTW are produced from the most advanced SUMO TEC grades. These inserts are designed with very positive radial helical cutting edges and positive rake angles ? a combination which substantially reduces the cutting forces and facilitates higher productivity.

The CNMX and WNMX insert corners are equipped with a wiper configuration which produces high surface finish, even at high feeds.

In many cases the surface finish is sufficient for eliminating a finishing cut.

TAG Insert Features
* Very rigid clamping in a tangentially oriented pocket.
* Enables machining at very high feed rates and provides excellent straightness and surface finish.
