The easy-to-use Speedglas 100 Shield is the ideal 'first' auto-darkening shield for hobby welders, farmers, DIY enthusiasts and maintenance or construction workers who weld infrequently but value high levels of comfort and excellent protection.
The 3M? Speedglas? Variable Shade Filter has 5 user-selectable dark shades, from shade 8 to shade 12, and a light shade of 3. It benefits from 3 sensitivity settings: a normal setting for most types of welding (both indoors and outdoors), a setting for when other welders are working nearby, and a setting for low-current or stable arc (e.g. TIG) welding.
