Sherwood dies are for use in die stocks to cut external screw threads on metal rod, the split in the die allows the adjusting screws of the diestock to compress or expand the die to accommodate for slight variations in size of the material being threaded or die sharpness. Available in diameters ranging from 2mm to 10mm in increments of 0.01mm. Made from HSS-E steel with a bright finish, left hand spiral flute. For all ferrous and non-ferrous metals and hard and soft plastics. For use on CNC machines, producing high quality reamed holes. Manufactured to DIN 212 and DIN 2172 section 1.
