Manufactured in three standard grades. (All sizes are nominal). Manufactured to ISO DIN BHMA Standards.
P40:
Roughing to heavy roughing of steel and steel castings using heavy feeds and low to medium cutting speeds. Also used under unfavourable conditions, particularly where intermittent cutting is involved. This grade is also suitable for planing operations and for machining manganese steel.
P30:
Carbide tipped tools are suitable for heavy duty turning and boring on all classes of steel. Suitable also for interrupted cutting and machining at low speeds and heavy feeds.
K20:
General-purpose tools for most applications. Ideal for machining cast iron, non-ferrous metals, bakelite etc. Combines wear resistance with toughness when rough turning at moderate cutting speeds. Suitable for high feed rates.

Kennedy® Thredfloer Fluteless Taps
Form rather than cut the thread in almost any ductile material. These include aluminium, brass, copper, carbon steels, zinc and magnesium alloys and even some stainless steels. The material is "cold formed" into the relevant thread and has the advantage of being a full form thread unlike normal cut tapped holes. This make the thread stronger. The forming operation does not create chips so swarf contamination and blockage is illiminated and tap breakage reduced. Because there is no consideration for chip evacuation, Thredfloer taps can be run at higher cutting speeds and reduced cycle times. Lubrication grooves are a feature of all Thredfloer taps of M3.0 and over. These allow lubrication to reach the end of the tap to maintain tool life and to prevent damage from "Hydraulic Blow Out".

Kennedy Endmills
Kennedy KC3 throwaway 3* flute endmills are manufactured HSS-Co 5% making them much tougher than HSS. This means that Kennedy endmills can be used at higher speeds and feeds which in turn gives greater productivity.
Kennedy KC3 endmills are available uncoated, TiN coated and TiCN coated.
TiN (Titanium nitride) provides a surface hardness in the region of 2300HV which offers improved wear resistance, tool life and productivity.
TiCN (Titanium Carbonitride) gives a surface hardness in the region of 3000-3500 HV, excellent wear resistance and good heat resistance. This coating is used for the same things as TiN but also for hard steels, stainless, cast iron, brass & bronze.
