Sherlock® Sealants

Sherlock® gas seal compound is a non-setting compound for use on metallic threaded and face joints carrying gas including aluminium, copper, steel and zinc. Suitable applications: propane, butane, LPG and natural gas.

Ideal for boats, camping, motor-homes, caravans, BBQ's and most domestic appliances.
Full bond strength is achieved immediately dependent upon humidity levels.

Activators for Thread & Gasket Sealants

7649N - Recommended for use when a very fast cure is required. 7471T - Recommended for use at below 15C or on inactive surfaces.

577 - Thread Sealant

Medium strength. Suitable for copper, mild steel, cast iron, stainless steel and galvanised pipe. Carries the German DVGW approval. tested in accordance with EN751-1. Certified to NSF P1. Conforms with: BS 6956 : 7 (gas).
AGA Approval No. 3207 to 1050kPa (152psi).

PTFE Tape

General purpose tape for sealing gas/water pipe threads. Chemical and acid resistant. For use at temperatures from -270C to 260C.

Water Type

12mtr x 12mm roll. For hot and cold water pipes. Made to BS7786:1995.

574 Flange Sealant

General purpose flange sealant for gaps up to 0.5mm. Typical applications are hydraulic and pneumatic control valves, transmission and engine flanges and marine pipework. Suitable for 90% of flange sealing applications. Carries the German DVGW approval. Test in accordance with EN751-1. certified to NSF P1.

Stag Jointing Compound

Easy break, smooth consistency, lead-free jointing compounds. Type 'A' Thin consistency, for small joints which are new or undamaged. Type 'B' Thick consistency, for use on uneven surfaces.

518 - Flexible Fast Cure Gasket

Recommended for sealing aluminium flanges and fills up to 0.5mm. Withstands fluctuations in pressure, temperature and vibration. Replaces pre-cut gaskets on rigid parts.

Loctite Sticks

Loctite sticks won?t spill, leak or drip. Fast and easy to apply. Semi-solid formula, great for overhead use and keeps tool boxes, workbenches and hands clean.

561 Pipe Sealant Stick - 19gm

Low strength pipe sealant in a convenient clean and easy to use stick form. It gives an instant seal on taper/parallel threads and locks the fittings in place.
Semi-solid stick formula offers added convenience and portability. Formulated for fast, reliable curing on metal, tapered pipe threads and fittings. Provides high pressure sealing at operating temperatures up to 150C.

Recommended for all coarse metal threads where disassembly is required. Ideal for use in a broad range of industries including chemical processing, waste water treatment and automotive.

515 Gasket Eliminator

Flexes with minor flange movement. Fills gaps up to 0.25mm. Does not shrink or migrate. Temperature range -55C to 150C. AGA approved No. 2590 up to 6900kPA (100psi).

Stag White Pipe Jointing Compound

Linseed oil based, lead free jointing compound. Its smooth consistency allows easy dismantling of joints when required it also acts as a temporary lubricant during assembly of threaded pipework. Suitable for use on flanged or screw threaded joints. Used extensively in the plumbing and gas fitting industries. Conforms to BS 6956: Part 5: 1992
