Iscar HELITURN LD Inserts with High Helical Cutting Edge for High Metal Removal Rates. The HELITURN LD inserts WNMX ...-HTW and CNMX ...-HTW are produced from the most advanced SUMO TEC grades. These inserts are designed with very positive radial helical cutting edges and positive rake angles ? a combination which substantially reduces the cutting forces and facilitates higher productivity.

The CNMX and WNMX insert corners are equipped with a wiper configuration which produces high surface finish, even at high feeds.

In many cases the surface finish is sufficient for eliminating a finishing cut.
HELITURN LD inserts were designed for heavy machining applications. Their unique design ensures reliable, Fast Metal Removal.

ISCAR has recently added the HMW chipformer for machining stainless steel, high temperture alloys and soft, low carbon steel.

Grade Description: IC850 A tough substrate with a cobalt enriched layer combined with improved MTCVD TiCN and a thick alpha AI2O3 CVD coating. Recommended for general use machining of steel in a wide range of conditions, featuring high toughness and resistance to chipping and plastic deformation.

OSG Taps

OSG type 1066 machine taps are manufactured from 3% Vanadium Super Grade High Speed Steel. Increasing the vanadium content improves the toughness without making the tap brittle. This means the tap has a greater resistance to work generated heat, which prolongs the life of the cutting edge.

Spiral Point taps are suitable for threading through holes.

Designed for increased productivity and tool life compared to standard stub drills. TiN coating has been applied to 35%-50% of the flute length (dependent on drill diameter) to keep cost down and lower the cost per hole. The 135 split point is advantageous for the pre-drilling of rivets and for drilling in sheet metal. Suitable for drilling alloy steel, carbon steels, cast iron, titanium and aluminium. Available in diameters ranging from 2mm to 10mm in increments of 0.01mm. Made from HSS-E steel with a bright finish, left hand spiral flute. For all ferrous and non-ferrous metals and hard and soft plastics. For use on CNC machines, producing high quality reamed holes. Manufactured to DIN 212 and DIN 2172 section 1.
