Sherwood countersinks are a chatter-free cutter that produce an excellent burr-free finish it is capable of deburring and countersinking in one stroke with no "back-off" of tool.
Countersinking a hole leaves an angled conical, chamfered recess on the finished job, for a tapered head bolt or screw to seat correctly into this angled form. Countersink bits can be used for deburring holes as well.
It will also countersink aluminium with no secondary bulge.
Ideal for special applications and exotic materials, a choice of hard coatings is available.

Sherwood Die Nuts

Sherwood ground thread die nuts are suitable for repairing damaged or crossed threads and clearing swarf from threads. When using a die nut (on an existing thread) it is not necessary to apply the same level of precise initial alignment required to form a new thread (i.e. with a die) as the nut will follow the existing threads. They are supplied as hexagon drive allowing them to be turned by a standard spanner or adjustable wrench without the need for a special stock.
