Kennedy Welding Accessories

Kennedy PVC welding curtains comply with EN1598 to block out welding light. The curtains have snap-fasteners on both sides to allow several to be joined together to create the desired width.

Supplied with reinforced holes on the upper edge and steel suspension rings.

PVC Welding Curtains

All Kennedy PVC welding curtains are made of a pliable, self-extinguishing PVC material with a flash point of 320-390C.

Conform to: EN1598 for welding (fulfilling requirements on transmittance, reflectance, UV-stability and resistance to ignition).

Supplied with steel curtain rings.

Available in a range of sizes and colours.

Electrodes for Mild Steels

Available in 2.6 x 300mm, 3.2mm x 350mm and 4mm x 400mm.

Basic coated, all positional rods.
Applications: for steel plate structural steels, pipe work and forgings. Ideal for repairs of casting and machinery, compensate for dilution effect of poor steels. Often used where rutile deposits may be at risk from cracking.
N.B. Suitable for AC (70V minimum open circuit) and DC. Optimum rooting operability is obtained using DC-.

Murex Masterpak Oxy-Acetylene Welding & Cutting Kits

Murex Masterpak cutting and welding kits - one for oxy-propane cutting, one for oxy-acetylene cutting and one combined oxy-acetylene welding/cutting pack. The kits are ideal for construction workers and civil engineers looking for a complete outfit for all maintenance, repair and demolition work. For complete oxy-acetylene welding and cutting capability. If welding capability is not required, users may specify either the oxy-propane cutting kit or the oxy-acetylene version. ANM Cutting Nozzles

Acetylene nozzle mix can be used with the majority of popular cutting torches. Plate thickness refers to mild steel.

2% Ceriated Grey Tungsten Electrodes

Suitable for both AC and DC welding but performs exceptionally well at low current settings in DC welding. A popular non-radioactive replacement for 2% Thoriated Tungsten Electrodes as like the thorium electrodes they are best used to weld carbon, stainless steels, nickel alloys, copper and titanium alloys. Also ideal for small and delicate welding.

Kennedy 1.6mm 2% Ceriated Grey Tungsten Electrodes

2% ceriated tungsten electrodes (AWS classification EWCe-2) contain a minimum of 97.30% tungsten and 1.80 to 2.20% cerium. These electrodes perform best in DC welding at low current settings but can be used proficiently in AC or DC processes. With its excellent arc starts at low amperages, ceriated tungsten has become popular in such applications as orbital tube and pipe manufacturing, thin sheet metal work or jobs where small and delicate parts are welded. Like thorium, it is best used to weld carbon and stainless steels, nickel alloys and titanium, making it an obvious replacement for 2% thoriated electrodes.

Ceriated tungsten features slightly different electrical characteristics than thorium but most operators will no be able to tell the difference. Using ceriated electrodes at higher amperages is not recommended. In these situations, the oxides will migrate quickly to the heat at the tip, removing the oxide content and nullifying its process benefits.

Front Cover Lens
The Aristo® Tech front cover lens offers the ultimate in protection.
This lens has been coated for increased scratch- and heat-resistance. Using a specialised injection moulding process, the lens is
