AG5 Silver Alloyed Solder

95% Tin - 5% Silver Solder. Used for soldering applications where lead use is prohibitive such as pipe joints that come into contact with water and/or foodstuffs, central heating and hot water pipes where temperatures are high and temperature changes can result in sudden contraction in the solder joint. Also suitable for the soldering of jewellery due to the alloys ability to maintain high levels of brightness.

Grosvenor Lead Free Solder

99.3% Tin and 0.7% copper. This alloy is a cost effective solution for lead-free soldering but does require a higher melting temperature, typically 227C. Solder wire uses the non-corrosive Ersin 362 flux giving excellent solder spread and fast wetting.

Colophony free solder products are fully synthetic and contain no rosin or modified rosin. It performs as a conventional solder product whilst providing a better working environment. The flux activation system is engineered to provide a product with superior performance to conventional rosin based products and It also has a high activity with no dewetting and is suitable for fast and sustained soldering on copper and brass surfaces. Its formulation is non-corrosive and its low odour distinguishes it from rosin-based products. Available in a range of wire diameters to suit a wide variety of applications.
