Vitrified bond for precision grinding. Unaffected by water, acid and oils. All 1,1/4" bore, supplied with 1", 7/8", 3/4", 5/8" & 1/2" bore nylon bushes. Tough general-purpose aluminium oxide which is hard wearing. Used for surface and off hand grinding. Refined aluminium oxide with a faster grinding operation. Suitable for high speed steels, precision grinding and general surface grinding. Silicon carbide, used on low tensile strength materials, non ferrous metals and carbide tool grinding. All York grinding wheels are supplied in a unique storage box, which helps prevent chipping and other accidental damage. Spare cases available on request.

York? Fibre Discs

The Zirconia grain is supported by grinding additives which lubricate and cool the area being ground and help prevent clogging, prolonging the effective life of the disc. Suitable for use on all types of stainless steels, weld seams castings and other sophisticated metals for extended periods, removing large amounts of metal without excess heat build up. Available in a choice of grades and in diameters of 115mm or 178mm.

York? Nylon Interleaved Wheels

Made from high quality nylon, which is both flexible, durable and does not clog as easily as standard abrasive. 6mm shank diameter. Alternate flaps of abrasive and interleaved with a versatile high quality nylon. Ideal for: matching/blending a finish, light deburring, decorative/cosmetic applications, on most materials, rust removal and blending. Available in a choice of Coarse, Medium, Fine and Very Fine Density Grades and in sizes 50 x 25mm, 50 x 50mm, 76 x 50mm and 100 x 50mm.

High speed penetration of tough and high tensile materials combined with long disc life and optimum flexibility ensure York sanding discs give first class performance every time. Recommended for use with all portable grinders and sanders. Available in a choice of grades and in diameters of 100mm, 115mm, 127mm or 178mm.

York? High Performance Flap Discs

High performance alternative to sanding discs. Have the advantage over depressed centre grinding discs on light gauge sheet metal where surface finish is important. Overlapped abrasive strips slowly wear away revealing fresh abrasive, ensuring the disc always cuts effectively, reducing clogging, provides constant finish throughout disc life, generates less noise and heat - less blueing. No backing pads needed - fits directly onto machine. Safe to use at 80m/s on any grinder. Tested at 150m/s and approved by the German Grinding Wheel Authority (DSA).
