York Grinding Wheels

Vitrified bond for precision grinding. Unaffected by water, acid and oils. All 1,1/4?? bore, supplied with 1??, 7/8??, 3/4??, 5/8?? & 1/2?? bore nylon bushes. Tough general-purpose aluminium oxide which is hard wearing. Used for surface and off hand grinding. Refined aluminium oxide with a faster grinding operation. Suitable for high speed steels, precision grinding and general surface grinding. Silicon carbide, used on low tensile strength materials, non ferrous metals and carbide tool grinding. All York grinding wheels are supplied in a unique storage box, which helps prevent chipping and other accidental damage. Spare cases available on request.

Aluminium oxide paper. For general purpose sanding. Fre-Cut coating inhibits premature loading to give a longer lasting product, particularly in fine grades. Silicon carbide grade (suitable for stone/non-ferrous grinding) available on request. Shank diameters are metric as listed below with inch sizes available on request. Maximum speeds are quoted assuming that collet to back of point does not exceed 12.7mm (1/2") and are for guidance only.

Kennedy® Economy Emery Cloth

The emery abrasive particles are bonded by a high strength glue to a flexible J-weight blue twill backing cloth. The backing cloth allows the abrasive sheet to conform to the shape of the item being worked on, ensuring the abrasive action is always where you require it. Suitable for general-purpose, light duty workshop use.
