Vitrified bond for precision grinding. Unaffected by water, acid and oils. All 1,1/4?? bore, supplied with 1??, 7/8??, 3/4??, 5/8?? & 1/2?? bore nylon bushes. Tough general-purpose aluminium oxide which is hard wearing. Used for surface and off hand grinding. Refined aluminium oxide with a faster grinding operation. Suitable for high speed steels, precision grinding and general surface grinding. Silicon carbide, used on low tensile strength materials, non ferrous metals and carbide tool grinding. All York grinding wheels are supplied in a unique storage box, which helps prevent chipping and other accidental damage. Spare cases available on request.

Freud Circular Saw Blades

Anti-kickback Design: Kickback is caused by over-feed. It happens so quickly it can be impossible to react before injury occurs. On a table saw the wood is thrown back violently, on a radial arm saw the blade climbs quickly out of the cut and on a hand held saw the saw is pushed out of the cut. Freud's design reduces this. Each tooth is followed by a limiter, which restricts bite to the maximum safe amount. Teflon Coating. Resistant to friction and heat build-up. Teflon coated blades last longer, cleaning is easy and the distinctive coating also gives rust resistance.Whisper Quiet Expansion Slots: A question-mark shaped slot allows for the necessary expansion yet reduces noise. Laser Cut, High Strength Bodies: The use of precision lasers to avoid unwanted stress in the metal. The method also allows the use of higher strength steel (40 to 45 Rc). These bodies remain true, even after years of use. Tensioned Blades for Superior Flatness: Pre-tensioned blades ensure years of smooth operation. The process is computer controlled and was designed and built by Freud. Made from high quality nylon, which is both flexible, durable and does not clog as easily as standard abrasive. 6mm shank diameter. Alternate flaps of abrasive and interleaved with a versatile high quality nylon. Ideal for: matching/blending a finish, light deburring, decorative/cosmetic applications, on most materials, rust removal and blending. Available in a choice of Coarse, Medium, Fine and Very Fine Density Grades and in sizes 50 x 25mm, 50 x 50mm, 76 x 50mm and 100 x 50mm.

Characteristics: This very thin disc (1.0 mm) enables you to achieve a uniquely clean cut in the shortest possible time while using a minimum of force. Precise to the millimetre, vibration-free cutting, no thermal bluing and no burring. Field of Application: Thin sheet metal (of the type used in car bodies and the tank construction sector), steel cable, thin-walled profile sections and pipes made of stainless steel and non-ferrous metals. Stiff E-weight paper gives a strong backing and long product life. Resin bond resists heat to prevent premature "burning". For initial and intermediate sanding on solid wood furniture, wood and metal door frames and other hard and soft wood, plastic and metal surfaces.
