York Felt Flap Wheels are made of pure wool in a variety of sizes and shapes. The mandrels are exactly centred for true-running operation. Suitable for product finishing/polishing with finishing/polishing compounds.

York Grinding Wheels

Vitrified bond for precision grinding. Unaffected by water, acid and oils. All 1,1/4?? bore, supplied with 1??, 7/8??, 3/4??, 5/8?? & 1/2?? bore nylon bushes. Tough general-purpose aluminium oxide which is hard wearing. Used for surface and off hand grinding. Refined aluminium oxide with a faster grinding operation. Suitable for high speed steels, precision grinding and general surface grinding. Silicon carbide, used on low tensile strength materials, non ferrous metals and carbide tool grinding. Higher speeds can be attained resulting in faster stock removal reduced man-hours and increased productivity. Available in 25mm, 38mm, 50mm, 75mm and 100mm diameters for the abrasive discs. Also available in a surface preparation material that is designed for smoothing surfaces prior to painting, removing rust, oxides, imperfections and blending out grit disc marks to produce fine finishes on metal. York? Cartridge Rolls

Spirally wound Aluminium Oxide cloth rolls that wear in use constantly exposing new abrasive. Used for weld flash removal, deburring, blending and polishing applications. Available in two types. A steel mandrel must be used to secure the abrasive to the tool.

York? High Performance Flap Discs

High performance alternative to sanding discs. Have the advantage over depressed centre grinding discs on light gauge sheet metal where surface finish is important. Overlapped abrasive strips slowly wear away revealing fresh abrasive, ensuring the disc always cuts effectively, reducing clogging, provides constant finish throughout disc life, generates less noise and heat - less blueing. No backing pads needed - fits directly onto machine. Safe to use at 80m/s on any grinder. Tested at 150m/s and approved by the German Grinding Wheel Authority (DSA).
