Solent? Absorbent Socks

Make use of socks where liquids need to be contained. Particularly useful for putting round the base of machinery and in food stores around the base of freezers (use the maintenance grade). Colour coded for ease of selection. Oil-only socks repel water and only absorb oil and fuels.

Solent? Oil Selective & Marine Absorbents

Oil selective absorbent products are capable of removing and containing oil based liquids from water. The products will float on water and only absorb the oil.Applications: For use on lakes, rivers, outfalls, ditches or separation pits, oil bunds, or where wet weather recovery of oil is anticipated.Benefits: Easy to deploy and recover, highly absorbent, will not absorb water. Floats even when oil saturated, non-toxic, non-reactive and fast-acting.Typical Liquids: Vegetable and mineral oils and all hydrocarbon derivatives.

Contain a range of absorbent products and disposal bags for dealing effectively and quickly with spills.

Solent? 'Natural' Absorbents

Rather than relying on a non-renewable resource such as polypropylene for their construction, this all-new range of absorbent pads, rolls and socks from Solent Plus utilises raw materials that are constituted 80% cellulose fibre in their manufacture. Cellulose fibres are one of the most widely available sustainable resources and have a low-dependence on fossil fuels. All of the products are available in either maintenance or oil-only grades, and represent a viable, cost-effective alternative to traditional melt-blown absorbents. The performance is equal to, if not better in some cases than conventional absorbents. Of particular note here is the oil pad, which has a class-beating absorbency rating of up to 1.4 litres per pad.
