The use of spark resistant tools is essential in many industrial applications such as petroleum and chemical manufacturing, spray booth operations, the marine industry, the mining industry, the paper industries, or any location where flammable vapors or combustible residues are present. Aluminium-bronze spark resistant safety tools are manufactured to 25HRC and offer a breaking strain of 75 - 85kgf/mm2.
Spark resistant tools must be maintained with special care. Frequent cleaning/re-dressing to remove ferrous particles or contaminants, which may impair the spark resistant properties, is essential.

Kennedy Cold Chisels

Kennedy cold chisels are manufactured from high quality, high strength octagonal section chrome vanadium steel with ground cutting edges. They are are used to channel brickwork, concrete, chip stone and to remove waste metal when a very smooth finish is not required or when the work cannot be done easily with other tools, such as a hacksaw, file, bench shears or power tools. The head of each chisel is chamfered to slow down the formation of the mushroom shape caused by hammering. Conform to: BS3066.
