Kennedy Cold Chisels

Kennedy cold chisels are manufactured from high quality, high strength octagonal section chrome vanadium steel with ground cutting edges. They are are used to channel brickwork, concrete, chip stone and to remove waste metal when a very smooth finish is not required or when the work cannot be done easily with other tools, such as a hacksaw, file, bench shears or power tools. The head of each chisel is chamfered to slow down the formation of the mushroom shape caused by hammering. Conform to: BS3066.

Flat Chisel

Used by the engineering and building trades for cutting and chipping cold metals, brick work and stone. The angle of the cut edge should be 60 - 70, inclusive, but is dependant on the material to be cut. When cutting metal, the softer the material is, the more acute the cutting angle should be.

Kennedy adjustable spanners are manufactured from high strength I beam section chrome vanadium steel for improved strength and rigidity, the jaws are heat treated for extended tool life. 15 offset head angle for positive torque control.

Parallel jaws with smooth jaw adjustment and self-locking design prevents the jaws opening unintentionally even when under full load.

Kennedy File Handles

Suitable for traditionally tanged engineer's files. A split file handle can cause a serious industrial accident. Kennedy safety handles are rapidly becoming standard equipment in workshops. Firmly secured inside each handle and covered by a ferrule is a steel spring, this combination absorbs the pressure when the tang of the file is driven into the handle, prevent splitting or cracking. Once properly inserted the tang of the file is held in a vice like grip that under normal use is virtually impossible to remove, unless the handle is deliberately broken.
